Organizational cultures shape how people experience both the performance aspects (performance, evaluation, and advancement) and the relational aspects (dignity, belonging, trust, safety, and wellbeing) of work. While many organizations invest in wellness programs or employee engagement initiatives, lasting cultures of care are built when components of care are embedded into leadership, organizational systems, policies, decision-making, and everyday practices.
This course introduces the foundations of a Culture of Care by exploring wellbeing and trust as organizational responsibilities rather than individual ones alone. Participants examine how organizational culture influences the health and sustainability of employees, teams, communities, and organizational outcomes while learning practical approaches for building cultures where people and organizations can thrive together. Throughout the course, learners will work through a Culture of Care Maturity Assessment that evaluates the current conditions within their own organization and identifies opportunities to strengthen wellbeing through leadership, systems, and organizational design.
